#Equal Pay Day - Exposed! Jordan Peterson

Jordan Peterson has long pointed out that equality of outcome is not a suitable goal if you have the best interests of people in mind.
Equal Pay Day just passed on April 10th - and this video looks at Jordan Peterson's claim, along with those that oppose his view. Equal opportunities and real equality have to allow for the possibility for people to choose various options based on their interests. The #EqualPayDay movement is misleading today - as it conflates the raw wage gap with discrimination. We can work toward what's best for both men and women by altering work patterns to allow for greater flexibility for those looking to balance work and home priorities. Equal opportunities and greater options to choose meaningful, high-paying work is a far better goal than simply attacking the "Gender Wage Gap".

This video was demonetized before it was finished uploading! I posted a screen shot on Twitter. Thanks, YouTube, for stifling channels that try to argue respectfully with social constructionist theory, and other ideologies...

I’ve listened twice now while doing other activities, imbibing, and being a bit distracted here and there. I will watch/listen once more to be certain it passes my “share” criteria, but so far ... damn it man, good work. I fear it will fall on so many deaf ears, but hopefully some will listen and learn.

Great, great video. Basically, you say there would be little or no wage gap if short, flexible work-weeks and a few years off for child-rearing were mandatory in all forms of paid employment. My strong impression is that many radicals think such mandatory conditions would benefit society and from what I’ve seen of government, that ethos seems to take hold particularly easily in administration. The idea seems both attractive and horribly repulsive at the same time; people need to be free to work as much as they want to work, but being denied the chance to contribute at all because one has slightly less time than an arbitrary minimum required seems wasteful too. Tricky. But then I see elected officials lauded for bringing infants to work and I can only shake my head.

In the Kathy Newman video and Jordan Peterson, when pointed out a statistic that woman on average were more agreeable than men, Kathy attacked him by saying he was saying ALL women, and generalisation. Strange how they do not attack the gender pay gap statistics on the same grounds ? 😏

Implying that women deserve to be paid the same. We need more discrimination not less.

Also, an overlooked reason for women living in nations with lower standards of equality between the genders receiving more STEM degrees than the counterparts from countries with higher degrees of equality between sexes is these countries universities don't offer the same variety of courses e.g. gender studies.

So what do you think the unintended consequences of all these changes (that will be implemented) will look like ?

no .. we need to improve opportunities for ALL humans .. not just women ..
the sexual market value of a well earning man before a partnership and the nagging housewife within a partnership are the no1 reasons for men amining at and pushing for a high income at the cost of spare time, flexibility and pursuing something he's interested in instead of high income.
the vast majority of women don't meet the social (or partners pressure) to earn well .. thats why they're able to pursue other goals .. like increasing flexibility or doing somthing what fascinates them at the cost of a high income.
is that a bad thing?
i would say .. men are forced to leave those goals behind to earn more .. so they are more attractive on the single market or to please their spouse .. untill she wants more again.
