Shaperbox 3 is hands down one of the most useful, versatile, and efficient effect vsts out there. Can get some really weird modulation if you experiment with setting the lfo rate high-ish values like 100hz. Not to mention how easily you can set up sidechain pumping, ducking, compression, etc. The midi capability for lfo presets on timeshaper is amazing for creating drum fills/ switch ups for B sections. Definitely one of those VSTs that will never dissapoint and while it may not be essential, it would be foolish not to pick up this plugin for its ability to speed up your workflow massively.

So far your tips, which came out of nowhere on my feed... Have all been amazing. As a guy that used to make tunes with fruity loops, squeezing the absolute life out of to make some raw and punchy techno, and then got a mac and started with Ableton. That was a whole ago and I am dying to get back into it. These tips are great and inspiring me. Soon ill get another mac and start to learn again.
