My favourite example of this is from Into the Breach; once you unlock every achievement (or beat the game with every unique team, I cant remember) you unlock the enemy types as playable units, and get to control your own versions of them- it's really cool!

Here's my favourite entry. At the end of The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, getting a transformation that makes you ridiculously OP in the middle of an insanely hard final boss fight leaves quite an impact. It makes us wish we had it throughout the rest of the game as it was hard as nails to make it through. If you beat the bonus challenges unlocked after beating the main game, you gain the ability to do exactly that. You can turn into Dark Spyro by pressing a specific button afterwards. It turned once formidable bosses into a joke because Dark Spyros Dark Aether beam was not only able to rinse health bars at lightning speed, but it could reach over long distances and cost practically no mana at all. After a display of that strength I can see exactly why Malefor turned irredeemably evil in favour of this power going to his head.

The killstar in farcry blood dragon was my favorite post game unlock. Literally explodes enemies with a laser.

My favorite post game content came from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Unlocking Oathkeeper and Oblivion was so sick, and redoing missions with them made the game so much more exciting.

I was thinking about this yesterday. In Far cry 3 you need to go through the whole game before you get the wing suit. Once you have it there's no need to play any more.
