The quick way to mod your Bugasalt 2.0 or 1.0! Safety lockout disabling for faster shooting!

It will most likely void the warranty by doing this but it's well worth doing. By doing this mod you assume all liability. The safety isn't really good for much anyway because if you are strong enough to pump these things and pull the trigger you are also big enough to figure out the trigger lock. Even real guns don't automatically re-set the safety!!!

To prevent accidental firing after you install a screw, keep the stock plunger back until you're ready to shoot.Won't fire when plunger is back. FYI.

The lid broke off of my salt reservoir. I installed the very top of a Gatorade bottle with some strong adhesive, now it holds twice as much salt and has a screw on lid that doesn’t pop open and spill salt everywhere.

If you roll a paper tube around the barrel you can customize it and make a homemade barrel extension for it. I use it for my 2.0 and it extends the range and makes a nice tight pattern. Its just a rolled up piece of paper with some tape. It really does increase the damage though. A stinkbug will be flying and I will shoot it with this choke and from 2 ft away it knocks them right out of the air like shooting ducks with a shotgun. Also the choke causes the stinkbugs wings to be shredded as long as they are flying it is insane how deadly it it to them. I also use it for wasps and 1 accurate shot will knock them around in the air but not that much, but if they are up against a surface it really knocks into them. it takes 3 or so shots to kill them but every now and then i get point blank shots and with the choke and it almost destroys the wasp and it destroys many other bugs. I wish they could come up with a full auto bug a salt gun as they would solve the problem in its entirety.

Just use tape or hold it down with your finger and keep pumping and shooting

Can you just block the movement of the safety with your thumb between shots on the 2.0? This way you don't lose a safety feature until you undo the screw. (I'm waiting for mine to arrive.)

I use sea salt which has angular grains. Better kill effect IMHO. Death to the ground bees on my humming bird feeders!

I did this to my Bug-A-Salt 2.0 and it works perfectly! Total cost was absolutely nothing which is certainly economical. As a second thought, I'm now using Morton's Iodized Sea Salt rather than regular table salt. It's kinda like going from birdshot to buckshot. To paraphrase Mr. T, "I pity the bug who's near me!"
