When I gave birth to my first child my ex-husband told the dr to "Stitch her up like a 12 year old". I was disgusted & mortified & the dr gave me this knowing look. I filed for divorce shortly after I recovered from birth.

My friend's a nurse, when a husband asks for the extra stitch, she says, "why? Is your penis really small?"

Asking for Husband stitches are automatic grounds for divorce.

A relative once told his wife’s obgyn that he wanted the doc to put in a couple extra stitches after the baby was born. This wasn’t their first child, and he claimed that things were loose in the area. Doctor looked at my relative and said well if you’re not man enough to fill it, maybe you should have a procedure to fix that.

I saw a nurse who said if a man ever asks for "the husband stitch" she says "sure thing drop your pants so we know how small you need it." Said it always shuts them up haha

Absolutely not! You can't even pick up your dirty laundry and you're telling the doctor what to do with my body?

I had just given birth and my ex told my obgyn to put in an extra stitch (I tore giving birth). My obgyn gave my ex the most disgusted look I've ever seen. I ended up divorced, but I kept my obgyn. He had been my doctor for almost 40 years until he retired last year. 🙁

Important note ladies, if the man tries to dictate your body dump his a$$(women too). Its horrifying how peoples real personalities cone out during things like birth, surgery or just being a responsible human.

They’re no longer dumb things, they’re straight up evil.

I worked for a plastic surgeon & a husband came in with his wife for a consultation for a breast augmentation & had a picture of playboy centerfold & he asked for a duplication of the centerfolds assets shall we say. True story! Dr P quickly informed him that’s not how it works 🤦🏻‍♀️

This is really sad. My husband is the one that says, "You're beautiful and don't need to change a thing but if it makes you happy, then I'll support you." EVERY woman deserves a man to look at you that way. If he doesn't, he's for the streets!

Yeah, my husband and my obstetrician discussed "husband stitches, " after my doctor gave me a brutal episiotomy. That was 50 years ago and I can't believe they are still doing this. I'm really tired of hearing how so many manly-men are treating women. I'm glad most women are honoring their autonomy and telling these creeps to take a flying leap.

Lol i love you doctor. I love how you can be empathetic towards the female patients whose husbands are dummies and only care about how their wives should look not realizing that their wives are humans too and their comfort matters too.

My husband wasvery sad to lose my boobs when I had my reduction. But he knew I was in pain and absolutely supported my decision. He's got pre surgery photos that he cherishs. BUT in the 14 years since my reduction, he still makes me feel perfect in his eyes. A partner needs to be supportive. It's fine to have an opinion. Not fine to belittle the choices the other makes.

If I were any of these women, I would leave and or divorce these men immediately. I would do just about anything to be away from them. I'm a gay man, and if any man in my life treated me like this, I would do everything I could to get free from them. I feel so sad for these women.

I had breast implants for myself in 2003. My husband did not approve but since he wasn’t getting them or paying for them I didn't feel it was any of his business. My plastic surgeon required the husband to sign a consent form. WTF! So of course I had a more broad minded friend sign my husband's name. What the hell were they going to do, sue us? Mysoginy is everywhere.

I don’t understand how men think of women this way. I always see men as just another type of person. They truly don’t see us the same way and its really sad.

I would not be getting any extra stitches but my husband would surely be getting a few!

I had breast reduction several years ago and I'm happy to say my husband was very supportive.
