Learn about SPCC WIC and how to contact us!

Hello, thank you for taking the time to listen to our presentation on SPCC WIC’s WIC overview. On our first slide, we do have our contact information. Providers and participants can contact us by phone, text, fax and our email, which is listed on the slide.

And the SPCC WIC program is a local WIC program in the Finger Lakes in New York State. The WIC program is a supplemental nutrition program that's dedicated to improving the health of women, infants and children at a critical time in their lives. The program does that by offering nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to eligible families. The areas that we serve are Eastern Monroe, Wayne, Yates, Seneca, and Ontario counties. Our offices for SPCC WIC are in Canandaigua and Newark. Then we have nine satellite sites that we visit throughout the five county region. We also now have eWIC cards instead of the traditional WIC check that some may have been familiar with in the past and the eWIC card allows participants to purchase their benefits and WIC foods using a plastic debit like card.

The locations of our clinics include Canandaigua, Newark, Fairport, Sodus, Wolcott, Waterloo, Geneva, Dundee, Ovid, Clyde, and Penn Yan. For specific information on visiting one of our sites, please contact us at with the contact information at the beginning so that we can give you the details for the addresses and the dates and times that we are available.

And then again, our contact information is here so you can call us, text us, or email us and we also have our agency web page because the Society for the Protection and Care of Children, is our sponsoring agency.

For following us on social media, we have a variety of options so you can like us on Facebook at SPCC WIC, follow us on Instagram @spccwic and then on Facebook, we also have a group for pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding moms called WIC Moms Talk Breastfeeding. People are able to request to join and participate in the discussions. And then below here we have the WICStrong sites and each of our counties has their own site, however, the information is very similar on each site.

And this is the introduction to SPCC WIC’s overview. Thank you for watching our presentation and feel free to contact us with any questions.
