This is the kind of stuff you normally only figure out after a lifetime of working in kitchens. I never would've thought about half of this stuff! Thanks for sharing your knowledge Rick!

I’ve always loved how warm your kitchen feels on both PBS and your YouTube videos!

What a treat this is. Thank you, Rick. We really love you and feel connected to you over these past decades we've cooked together.

The fact that you have had the same set-up in your kitchen for twenty five years means you got it right on day one. Very impressive, and I look forward to adding some of your choices to my kitchen. Thanks, Rick.

Lucky guy Rick. I know it all took hard work, dedication, sacrifice and study but still, lucky guy. Much love and best wishes to you and yours this Christmas.

I want a tour of the living room 😂 Those light fixtures look amazing. I always get distracted looking over your shoulder to admire them.

Me: I wish my kitchen were big enough for an island.
Rick: Plot twist - You guys have never seen the OTHER HALF of my kitchen.

I first saw this kitchen on This Old House! Didn't think anything of it, other than admiring its beauty. Then I watched a Jacques Pépin series episode featuring Rick Bayless as well as some of his YT videos and was like, 'Where do I know this guy/kitchen from???' Been cooking out of Rick's books and videos ever since. So good! Thanks Rick!

I can feel the coziness, the warmth, the happiness from this kitchen. But without the kindness, the sincerity, the love of cooking from Rick, this kitchen would be just..a kitchen...

That would be a dream kitchen for me. Love that multiple people can work in there without bumping into one another. Soap stone is the best kitchen surface and the 48" stove with both gas and electric is great for bakers and regular cooking. The maple wood does give a comfortable feel. I think I will steal your multiple pull-out cutting board idea and island with cutting surface top. Thanks for sharing your kitchen.

I’ve watched you for so many years on PBS that this kitchen feels like I belong here. I especially enjoyed the episodes cooking with your daughter. I agree with the work triangle. Too many kitchens in new homes… or remodels… are so poorly arranged & inefficient. Yours is perfect for you.

Hi Rick - I work in a professional cabinet shop. One of things we do best is kitchens. Thanks for the insight!! Truly valuable! I am forwarding to my colleagues to better serve our wonderful customer. Cheers from Coeur d’Alene!

Terrific that a named chef actually uses his home kitchen to film his show. During one show, I saw his cat walk by in the background, then I knew this was the real deal. Thanks Rick for keeping it real!

Grew up watching Rick in that kitchen, who knew all this time he had a second sink lol I always just figured it was a TV set 😄
