Too bad they didn't get to all the cars in Texas and Florida on time they would had made a killing.

It's really not that bad of a idea

this is a great idea. not just for cars but lets say you don't have much time and a cat 5 is coming. If you had multiple bags you could put your most valuable stuff in the bags (not just the car) and tie it down

Don't call it flood guard, call it the "car condom"

I had a good chuckle seeing this video. After what happened in Texas I was telling my wife that we should invent a water tight bag for a car. As usual it's already been done. Like others have said I would just move my car to higher ground but I'm thinking in some cases this may be a decent option. Thing is many who thought they were out of danger, weren't.

We literally kissed our Stingray goodbye when Florence came through North Carolina. Thankfully we didn’t flood out.

I think it may be worth waiting until the car has cooled down.  You don't want your exhaust to make a new hole :).

I was getting ready to call this stupid until i realized it just might work! With some minor tweaking this could be a very great product! Also, driving into the bubble is kind of scary because somebody could leave the car running and suffocate.

Houston and Florida should've been aware of this weeks ago

Pretty interesting- if they can offer them in a reasonable price range im sure a good auto deduction may be worth it by the ins companies- ins companies can save a lot of money vs payouts

Save money. Take 2 sheets 50×50 plastic visqeen. Drive car over plastic. Wrap up and tie at top of vehicle with rope and water proof tape. Under 100$ bucks. Cajun car wrap.

This totally makes sense from where the product came from. Residential areas near CBD where convenience and property prices could make a risk of 1-2 days flooding of up to 6 feet high worth it 😆 it is perfectly normal other days of the year. To those saying just bring it somewhere high, mall parking lots here do offer that for free in anticipation of a strong typhoon. Just the problem of having to get back home knowing the floods would subside next day...
Hope it gets improved with some of the suggestions here and goes commercial again

Hope the water doesn't rise too high and you crush the roof in that carport. Rushing water has a lot of force to break those straps.

Great idea I was thinking about building a raft from 2 liter bottles one up next down to give the build strength. Would need to have a ramp up and secure it to the ride. Use marine plywood or develop a plastic topper.

While this is great when a flood is coming, keeping your cars sealed in bags like these for storage is a bad idea. Because this bag will trap moisture in which will make the car rust like crazy. But for flood damage, yeah short term storage, this bag will save your car. (As long as it doesn't just float around and crash into something.)

Make sure you also have a butt load of desiccants in there too. You don't want to seal in residual moisture.

there is a chance of flood water entering through the stitching hole areas of the car cover and even after flood is gone water will be there and messy until the cover is not opened
