Hate to be the stickler, but after Benedict/Benedick anything goes. Calling it the Three Gorges River Dam implies that is a dam on the three gorges river. It is a dam on the Yangtze River. It's not "also known as the Three Gorges Dam", it's never referred to as anything else. Stickling complete.
