KIA EV6 vs Lambo Urus Vs AMG GT vs McLaren 570S vs Porsche 911 vs Ferrari California - DRAG RACE

Kia's new EV6 is so fast in the top-spec GT trim that the Korean carmaker had their new electric crossover go up against the Lamborghini Urus, Mercedes-AMG GT, McLaren 570S, Porsche 911 Targa 4 and Ferrari California T in a quarter mile (400m) drag race.

The all-electric EV6 GT produces 577 hp (430 kW / 585 PS) and 546 lb-ft (740 Nm) of torque, enough to accelerate it to 62mph (100km/h) in just 3.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 161mph (260 km/h).

The short 400m drag length benefits EV's, whose clear advantage over combustion engines in general is far greater low end torque. Also, those are not the "world's fastest supercars". In fact, none of the manufacturers of said cars would even call them supercars, except the McLaren. You've essentially got the fastest Kia in a race in which it is favored against the mid range or cruiser type sports cars for a few luxury brands. Oh, and the one Kia chose from Lamborghini is a SUV. No wonder it's not going to be as fast as a Huracan, it's a freaking SUV (and it's larger than the Kia). The targa isn't close to just the fastest 911, it's not even turbocharged, besides, one of the Taycans would be Porsche's best offering for a short drag race. Don't even get me started on the Merc, it's not even a sports car. Not. Even. It's a heavy as balls "luxury car" (Mercedes-Benz's label, not mine) with a tuned engine that likes to produce more wheel spin than speed. And then the California. It's true to its name, as Ferrari designed it- a cruiser packed with luxury features to look good and feel comfortable in the California heat. I'd like the Kia to try and beat an 812 superfast or the more suitable hybrid SF90 stradale. Hell, I'd like to see the Kia beat any performance car not hand picked out of far better brands lineups to be slightly slower.

when i watched the vid, i was so suprised that the EV6 managed to beat most of the supercars but the not the mclarean. Now i wonder if this will be known as supercar since it defeated most of the world's supercars
