Dude- giving the girth... you're doing gods work. I needed exactly that info- I had to stop a project tonight because my cutter is too big for the space and its not super big- its that squarish ridgid one with the tightening knob. There's another pipe too close for this to fit, so I need a different one with less girth. Your video saved me. A+

Just bought 1/2, 3/4 and 1” from Ferguson’s. Taking back the Milwaukee set that I got at Home Depot on sale. Thank you very much for making this video. I really appreciate it.

42 year master repair plumber! I’ve had a set of raptor for 10 years now and use them constantly and they have never broke and are still pretty sharp though it takes six or seven turns now but I agree with this review!!!

Hard to believe Raptor made a good tool lol. I shop with Ferguson supply and that’s all they carry. They got a whole wall full of Raptor tools nobody ever buys they’ve just been sitting collecting dust for years. But I see the cut you made with it, very quick.

I recently bought one of those AutoCuts and was really frustrated with it, to the point where I returned it the next day. Maybe it was a user error but I couldn't keep the thing to stay in one place to cut the pipe. I would clamp it down and start twisting and the thing kept moving down the length of the pipe making shallow cuts that was threading the pipe. Tried several times but couldn't get it to cut through in one spot.

That’s crazy I’ve had my Milwaukee cutters for about 8 Months no problems yet but the raptors are definitely enticing

I use a #15 for general use #101 for tight work 1/2 inch to 1 inch that covers about 99 percent of my work. some 151 s might come in handy too for bigger tube

Had the Milwaukees and the same thing happen never tried another set. Bought Generals and they’re great except yesterday I had to make a cut on copper I had just soldered and the nylon wheels melted on me. Looking at maybe trying the Raptors out 👍

I love your video and appreciate your knowledge, is the white Lenox slimmer than the Milwaukee? I need the slimmest available 3/4.cutter on the market because I am working on really tight quarters.

for a DIYer the milwaukee isn't that bad, just be ready to take it apart and tighten the spring tension mechanism. But for a professional time is money.

But let me add they’re getting really hard to buy, any idea where I can get a new pair? So far it’s only been eBay and the price is good but they want $14 ship!

Yup. Everything goes wrong on the last service stop as the sun is going down, either Friday or Monday.

My AutoCut cutters are in a sealed toolbox with PVC tools. That includes PVC primer. The plastic on the cutters gets soft just from the fumes 🤣 All melted and deformed.

WD40 is penetrating oil...Use gt85 instead as it's silicone based.
