My big brother passed away in July 2012 from Cancer. This is the song he asked my to put first on his inspirational songs playlist I made for him. He was 39. The year before, in August 2011, we lost my father to heart disease. We had yet to get over the death of my mother, that passed in March of 2016. When I listened to the song with my brother, we were both assured that Jesus is truly real. We believed in Him, but the hurt had truly confused us on so many levels. REST IN HEAVEN LYNN ELTON JONES JR. We miss you, but we know we will see you again.

I moved out of town 17 years ago, and I felt alone. I was young. didnt know no one. I stayed in the shed of the building that I would soon live. It was a struggle, I was bit by red ants while I slept, but I prayed and stayed steadfast. the lord blessed me with the keys. Lord, have MERCY! Haven’t heard this in years, truthfully, had no idea it was the “prolific” Kirk! Only heard a 16yr old girl sing it in my former church….over 20-plus years ago!!
I would weep and worship, in HIS presence. TODAY!…..it’s has that same effect. Bless Jesus!
