I've always wanted A Marauder.. I had an 02 Grand Marquis about ten years ago and it was the best car I've ever had..
Sadly I wrecked driving on black ice in Washington State. I'm from Arizona so I've never encountered black ice.

They fixed the spark plug issue in 04, and very rarely had any issues unless it was due to lack of maintenance..The 4.6 sohc/Dohc is arguably the most durable gasoline engine ever built…

The 00 to 01 4V engines had those problems. Buy 03 and 04 just the head cooling issues. But you can install the common head cooling mod which fixes the problem.

Good friend of mine had one I did the ridge time on the motor so none of those problems arose and he had one of the most badass cars in Dumont New Jersey and all we did was for the aesthetics we put wheel spaces on and those mags look sexy I put a cold air intake in it I picked up a set of headers old school long ones slang term is banjo headers and cherry bomb exhaust but I left the resonators in place that car sounded mean and it was fast the next upgrade was either going to be a supercharger or twin turbos but sadly somebody hit the car and the insurance company totaled it the motor alone after all the modifications that were done so it did not break down or give them any trouble just the motor itself is worth $10, 000 transmission was done with all the goodies in it all the shift kids all the stuff for racing and the rear end already had a slip clutch positive unit from the factory so we had a lot of fun with this car and it was fast 0 to 60 in 3 seconds

I remember when these came out and I was loving them. My old man said they made those for old guys like me to think we have a hot rod and laughed.. wish they supercharged it from the beginning or send it to Kenny Brown to have it built up.

Hi, '03 marauder with 168k, eaton 112 and 4.56's here. Absolutely zero problems over the 10 years Ive owned it. No spark plug issues or bad timing chain guides here and the car is disgustingly abused daily. Maybe change your oil at 5k instead of ignoring it.

These were for old folks and only old folks drove em. They were never really common at all. Just sprinkled in amongst the rest.

Actually they tried to use the cobra engine but they were in short supply and cost a bit more. The cheaper option was the bean counters rubber stamp on the original pre build order. I hate the small minded American HQ departments oversight.
