Welcome to Physics Teacher. In this video, I go over a Lab that I do with my Grade 11 High School Chemistry class. In this lab, we are trying to determine the percent composition of sugar in bubble gum. To do this, we measure the mass of the bubble gum before chewing and the mass of the bubble gum after chewing. Since sugar is water soluble, it will dissolve in your mouth and be removed from the gum.
