In this video discussed about Volatile Memories Static RAM, Dynamic RAM and their bit logic. In detailed explained the operation of memory cell of both the SRAM and DRAM. Step by step operation of 6 transistor SRAM memory cell and DRAM discussed. Both these memories are semiconductor type and each has specific use in the computer / embedded system. SRAM is used for cache memory where it is located with in the processor and it is very fast and expensive.Advantages of SRAM is fast, small size and disadvantages are high cost, low packaging density. Where as DRAM is used as main memory and this is separate and connected to processor through memory bus. Advantages of DRAM is high density, less expensive compared to SRAM and disadvantages are capacitor discharges so need to be refreshed, low compared to SRAM, high power consumption
