Its brilliant that you visited the DT waters in the North of England, no hard sell, just loads of determination, and some inspiration that it can be done in Winter if you give it a go. After 40 years fishing the rivers, I thought I was nuts in the cold winter nights on the banks, this looks even madder and I am going to give it a go before I get too old! :-) Good luck with your new baby Mick, real people and real carp fishing, love it!

Thanks Hullcarper for the comments. I will fish where I feel the best chance of a bite is mate. There is only one of the venues filmed that I had never fished before which was Stanwick, so I new the best areas to target when i arrived. However, at Stanwick there was some bubbling out in open water thats why I targeted that area and I had fish pretty quick so never needed to target the margins. If it had not worked I would certainly of tried close in though.

No mate they are the NCS (New century speed) Dont make them now, cracking rod, they do everything from chucking to playing under the tip.
