*Hey guys!*
*Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoy the video and enjoy Remnant!*
*I'm seeing some feedback around how important this decision is when taking into account all the gear and traits can be earned in-game. Really this video is to provide an insight for each starting class, what they bring to the table and pose the question "What can you live without for a bit?". Example: If you love melee combat, then Scrapper, but understand you are missing out on stealth and increased mod generation for a bit. Just wanting to clarify! Thanks for the feedback!*

I always go with ex cultist although the shotgun and hunting rifle are some of the best weapons in the game the spirit ability is super good and melee is useless later at high level play and you can buy all the armor and weapons tight away anyway

Ex-Cultist but then buying the hunter set and weapon. I specialized all on range combat with high crit. I'm on my 2nd playthrough I love this game!

Its mostly trivial considering you can get everything for every character later in the game. If you're fresh to remnant, I recommend the ex cultist first. It builds the learning curve of this game quick while offering viable dps options. Later in the game, the enhanced mod regeneration is insanely good for dps. Again this is all trivial because in late game, traits will even out every character. I go ex cultist, particle accelerator, hive cannon, with the guardian axe or riven

I chose Ex Cultist because he sounded cooler and I wanted to know what a Coachgun was. Who would have guessed it'd be the best 😂 I love my Mod Regen Build

Scrapper here, coming over from destiny 2 and picked scrapper class.
In RPGs I tend to play Tank and off tank
In shooters I like shotguns
So I picked scrapper cos *TITAN*

ex-cultist all the way. that spirit trait can be hard to obtain since it drops with the assault rifle which is kinda rare as it stands now i would say. you want that trait no matter what build you will be using. + you can just roll ex cultist and use a different set of armor and buy another weapon. its a win win. Im still rocking my starter armor tho, mod power regen + beamrifle with hotshot and desert on smg = good times.

Protip: Are you taking aggro in your mender's aura? pay attention to where you put the mod down,   find the edge of the circle, roll around the edge of the circle, you're welcome ;)

Went scrapper from the beginning, 80 hrs in and I don’t regret a thing

I did a playthrough with hunter with hunters rifle and defiler. I cannot imagine having to do melee combat as a scrapper for long periods of the game

Scraper no doubt the hardest class to start with as melee in this game and not taking damage is hard and shooting bosses is best, lol at ever being low on ammo. Ex cultist (as reced on many other channels) all the way as getting your mods back up fast is key and you start the game with only a few dragons harts/low armour, so menders aura is massive. Melee is a last ditch resort in this game. Some bosses can only be shot.

Ex-Cultist's healing mod combined with blood wort, skilled dodging and a second player to draw aggro, can work wonders for healing when you're low/out of dragon hearts.

I started with the scrapper and love it. I added the drifter coat to my armor to get a -10% stamina usage combined with +10 damage at 2.5 meters. That combined with the bonus damage for melee makes my character deadly at cost range. I use hot shot on my repeater and the melee damage mod on my shotgun. So I can get in close pop the melee mod for -50% melee damage and it reflects melee damage taken by an enemy by 200% for 60 seconds. All this plus popping a syringe in boss fights lets me swing, run, and roll none stop without running out of stamina for a short time. I end up carrying my team in boss battles bc I m tanky and don’t go down easily. Try it out

Had a hard time with scrapper. Abandoned it after 3 hours and started with hunter which feels easier

Scrapper! Sweetest starting armor and long gun! Once you upgrade your warrior trait, you can do a ton of damage with even the scrap sword.

I personally put scrapper as the worst as I try not to get too up close to everyone, and all the armour is nice but its heavy which makes dodging slower, plus the spirit trait is very nice to have as you get more mod regen. Also, in terms of weapons, you can buy all the weapons so I personally went with Ex cultist, the instantly bought the shotgun and hunting rifle and maxed out health

I started as the ex-cultist... but quickly bought scrap sword, hunter's rifle and shotgun and a few hunter's armor pieces.
