Today I am doing a straight pour to use up some of my paints but I am adding three drops of silicone oil to see how they react without any type of pouring medium. I am sure they will produce some lovely cells but I am also going to talk about layering and how I layer my paints in a cup.

Today's Tutorial Information:

▶ Technique: Straight Pour

▶ Pouring Medium formula: My paints are mixed with water only in a ratio of 1:1. You may have to adjust your ratios depending on the paint brands you use. I am using Pebeo's Silicone Oil (3 drops).

▶ Color Palette:
Amsterdam: Deep Olive, Light Rose, Perm Red Violet
Pebeo: Iridescent Gold, Iridescent Violet Blue.
Winsor & Newton: Crimson

▶ Hair dryer: When I use a hair dryer I use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting and the lowest blow speed.

Such a cheerful little creation, I love it ❤. The colours are beautiful, no muddy lines at all and the gold & silicone created great cells. Thank you for sharing.

Woooow, Mark, those cells are amazing. The colours remind me of a pasture full of summer flowers. What a beautiful piece! I am amazed by the design which doesn't have any muddy brown mix colours. Great job 🖒💖

Gorgeous! I am definitely partial to pink and that piece is beautiful. I love how the cells emerged with the use of the torch and it is amazing you only used three drops of the oil. Great video. Thank you. Denise ❤

So beautiful indeed. It reminds me of the Italian art glass style known as Millefiori or Murrine. It is amazing how only 3 drops of silicone can create so many cells. I love it.

Very beautiful! Big difference just using silicone in one color. The circles accentuate without looking repitilian. I enjoy your videos. Yes I would like to try this.

I see a flower with some petals being blown off on a sunny day. The cells (petals) are absolutely gorgeous and only having silicone in one color led to some beautiful color combinations! On a practical note, I love that you pre-paint the sides. I know that all good artists make sure they have coverage, but the OC in me is screaming, “Your corner! You missed your back corner!” 🙄 Also, I really like that you allowed the last of the paint be allowed to show its magic - instead of going to the landfill. They certainly didn’t disappoint today!
