Firefighter on firefighter violence was common there over the years when Toone and Winkert were in charge, and in most cases fully condoned by management and the board of directors. Back then WPFPD was no better that an outlaw motorcycle gang where criminals were recruited and their criminal activity was protected. When Toone was Chief reporting criminal firefighters to the police was strictly forbidden and considered a fireable offense. 

Since firefighters using violence during emergencies isn't unheard of there, and merely scratched the surface of the criminal activity that went on there; I hope the investigators are going to do due diligence to rule out foul play.

You extinguish All Visible Burning Material before you enter.  Every residential structure has at least one egress window so it is pretty easy to find the fire room.  You vent the windows and extinguish the fire through those windows.  You do NOT initially fight fires from the inside.  Inside work is for Mop Up.  Fighting fires from the inside out is how you get killed.

Porker firefighters are a 'Murkan specialty--grotesque blimps show-up over and over again to watch stuff burn that much quicker European fire crews routinely douse in a jiffy.
