What does the word "dharma" mean in early Buddhism? We will look at several ways it's used in the texts, and discuss its importance.

Great music but a little loud. Some points almost drown you out. Loving the series though, learning a lot.

I can’t ty enough for taking the time to make these videos. I live in a very conservative Christian area in the rural south. It’s one of those places whereby the first time you meet someone the first words they often want to know about you is where you attend church. I hate this area. I don’t fit in at all. I’ve always consider myself atheistic. But definitely have had to stay in the closet about my non belief. Anyway, I could type quite a long while on the struggles I’ve had living in this highly conservative Christian area…but just want to say ty for the videos. It gives me a way to practice Buddhism when I otherwise would not be able to.

I love the music in this video. Very much adds to your message. I tried to find the track on Audio hero and it doesn’t exist anymore. I want to use this for choreography on a piece focusing on Dharma. Do you still have the track saved possibly??? If so would you be willing to email it to me?

So if I get it correctly, Dahrma is..
1. The constant state of impermanence. The concept that the only constant is change.
2. The good path.
3. The path of truth.
Loving these videos and I’m eager to learn, thank you 🙏

You explained it well Doug it will be the way of most people exploring the basic tenets of working through a populous understanding of which at times is based on a shallow or convenient observance of the bigger and more in depth aspects. Regards Russell

"Dharma for One" is a great song by Jethro Tull. Check out the live version on the "Living in the Past" record. Rockin' your way to satori! 😀

Doug, thank you, great content. One thing though, while editing your material, please turn down the music just a bit. Today I had a difficulty hearing your words.

An informative video. Useful for someone such as myself who is exploring Buddhism (Secular) as a means to live a better life.
