kick the cow back - it reminds me of what I was thinking of recently. When I was a sled dog handler - and we had a young female dog. The owner told me to bend her ear over and bite into it hard. She whelped and I got hair in my teeth. But after that she was well-behaved. He said that's what dogs do to each other.
