Going home, traveling to Earth in Elite Dangerous

I finally made the journey to Sol!
I found it fitting to play music from the movie Armageddon while making the trip.

After spending so many hours to gain enough reputation to get the Sol permit, I think this is one of those things that every Elite player does. There's no reward to have doing this but it's one of the best experiences.

This video made me feel like I've been away from Earth for decades and I've just returned for the last time. Strange feeling of nostalgia for something that never happened to me.

Like the ending scene of a campy sci-fi action drama.

This was my first "long term" goal when I started playing, joined the Federation for the permit, got my Cobra MK III and traveled to Sol, longest trip I had done up to that point.

I remember in Evochron: Mercenary space sim, when you go to Sol system and then to Earth, your ship can be shredded by the planetary defense system. Way more realistic.

This video touches your heart, because when you enter elite dangerous at the beginning you feel lost in a universe that surpasses you, it is at that moment when you try to get used to it, but, the experience of returning home calms your heart, you realize that not everything is rewards and exploration, sometimes the best thing you have is a home
