Sludge pump got the longest range of all drillers mains since you can stack range OC and upgrade making shoot pretty much flat arcs.

Disperser Compound is good because I like to light the puddles on fire with the EPC, kind of run it like a Sticky Flame type of weapon, but I use the Persistent Plasma overclock on the latter to add a 3rd layer of Damage Over time. It can do wonders against Bulk Detonators as long as I refresh the charged sludge puddles and keep the fire and plasma active. I feel that this method is easier and more flexible than what you can do with that new Combustive Goo Mix overclock.

Volatile Impact Mixture is a very straightforward choice. I pair that with the Subata's Explosive Reload to help with high value targets better. For charged sludge shots, I use tier 4A to save ammo because you end up wasting more ammo for less overall damage you could do from just spamming normal shots. 48 damage per shot, versus 4 ammo for one charged shot of 96 is quite a waste, so your best bet is to save charged shots for clearing immediate grunt clusters of at least 4 for the most kill efficiency possible.

Ag mixture with projectile velocity remedies the sludge pumps range issue and is probably one of the best overclocks in the game. Also love tier 2 C and tier 5 B and its great for just one shotting grunts.

About Persistent Plasma for the EPC, thin containment field is unaffected by the charged shot damage reduction.

Neuro-Corrosive Toxic Catalyst on the subata allows embedded detonators to pass through armor into sludged enemies, very useful for oppressors who will not turn to face away, or stingtails and shellbacks who are armored.

Eyyy, you did the weapon I requested! Well lets see if we can continue that trend by requesting an amazing guide on the guided rocket system! Requested by a friend of mine who started a month ago and has aroumd a 100 hours in the game... 😅

What's that coloring on the weapon?
And where do I get it?

I’ve never got into the sludge pump. The flame or ice are just too good… so I’ve never had a good enough reason to learn it.

Is it better with a higher skill ceiling? Or just a different play style?
