Literally yesterday morning I randomly said “how cool would it be to see a Chrysler turbine car!?” And then a bit later I hear Jay is there and with it. Didn’t have the opportunity to witness it in all its glory but hopefully in the future!! ❤❤❤

I worked at the Chrysler Engineering center in Highland Park Michigan in the early 70s & had access to the exec/prototype garage. It was common to see at least three or four Turbine cars in for service. As luck would have it, I transferred to the Detroit Tank Arsenal in '74 & worked on the XM1 Tank with a Lycomming Turbine powerplant. Great times.

A beautiful car. I have always been interested in the Chrysler Turbine car. It's a shame only two or three exist today as all others were destroyed after the lease ran out as an experiment. There is a movie called "The Lively Set" with Doug McClure, Pamela Tiffin and James Darrin, featuring the "Chrysler Turbine Car".

Wow! They got Jay's Turbine car back together!! It was in pieces not too long ago, burnt through the circulators.

I grew up in Cincinnati close to Cincinnati Milling Machine ( later Cincinnati Milacron) and saw one of these there in 1963 or 1964 when I was 8 or 9 years old at their family day festival.

why is Jay Leno allowed to have this car but everybody that had one in the 60s had to turn it in because of the EPA and pollution regulations??
