This section is mostly just good life advice in general, not specific to IT haha. It's Professor Messer being a good dad to his audience.

Khakis from Old Navy and Polos every day of the week except Friday. Friday is for sneakers and jeans with a nerdy tee 😎

I can tell you banter and humour is always good to have in a workplace. If you don't have it good luck. It took me a while to get into it when i first started. I thought you cant joke around etc but people in a workspace do. If you tell me no you don't then I'm sorry you work life must be boring hahaha. Great vids by the way.

I wish my lecturers had been more like you.
It's not the main reason I dropped out of college, but certainly A reason was that most of the compsci professors, including the department head, were always dismissive and judgmental of people for not knowing something, and they believed that IT professionals in general should be as well. It was plainly stated that in order to make it in this field, we have to act like the smartest people in the room at all times in order to justify our continued employment to our bosses, else we be immediately replaced. I don't know where that belief stems from, but I've always thought it a needlessly miserable approach to work and life in general. It's nice to hear from an IT authority that it doesn't have to be that way.
I'll go back to school someday, and when I do I'll make sure that I'm paying to be taught, not looked down on. For now though, equal thanks for both the knowledge and compassion you provide on the way to my first cert!

This video should be required viewing for anyone in IT support. I used to work at a large telecom company, and folks wouldn't even answer the phone with their name. So worried someone will come looking for them. Also, everyone hides behind the keyboard. They would utilize the company's internal IM tool, but wouldn't pick up the phone. You ever try to explain a technical solution over IM? It can take less than a minute on the phone.
