$1800 a month mortgage in Houston I have a 9, 000+ sqft backyard and a 3bd 2bath 1 study and a garage. All updated and no plywood. NYC is not worth the debt.

Yet I pay half that for all costs (mortgage, electric, water, garbage and internet) here in Texas for a 4bdr 2 full bathrooms on 5 acres. 🤷

I'm not going anywhere near that roof deck with haphazard sheets of plywood where the floor should be. One wrong step and you fall 20 feet, right into somebody's apartment.
