For those wondering why the stick location is so odd, it’s for shorter distances to the shift knob. The Carrera GT is based on a Le Mans (race car) prototype from 1999. It was supposed to BE a race car. Race car drivers need the shift knob to be as close as humanly possible to the drivers wheel so that said drivers hands - when he goes to shift - doesn’t stay off of the wheel for too long. It’s why you see a long af shift knob in special rally or race car. The driver doesn’t have to reach to shift. It’s literally right there.

The pause between shifts is why this car subjectively sounds better than the LFA's paddles. On many of the upshifts the car barks when the gas is reapplied. Timeless!
