My father piloted the B-58, he loved flying this jet. As kids we use to watch the planes taking off on the base. My father retired in 1969 as a Lt. Colonel.

Beautiful aircraft. Saw one of these last week at the PIma Air & Space Museum in Tucson. It looks like it's already going 600mph just sitting on the ground.

Nice and simple video, as always. I reccomend toning down the music or changing it up, it distracts from the narration a bit.

Other than the engines stationed so far forward it was a beautiful plane!

Probably couldn't pull to many Gs or the thing would come apart. The most famous and competent test pilot said that the 58 was his favorite machine.

Failed to mention anything about wing cracks ( because of thin wing design and the two engines on each wing ). There were multiple problems with this aircraft.

I knew a retired Colonel that flew the B58. He was a super nice guy.
After watching this it seems they were dangerous and an inefficient big waste of money. 🤨
