Just so sad what has happened to the worlds forests past few years. The average person has an easier time making a difference by planting trees on their own land where they live, so there is also an evolving ecology happening in a lot of urban area's being greened up its exciting. This kind of greening up only happens when people do it. Governments can't fix these things they cant make the decisions and definitely cant make them for us. Its amazing how the raccoons, skunks, possums, birds squirrels get the food they want from a compost pile, rabbits groundhogs and deer like the greens that grow huge next to the piles eating leaves of plants birds brought in as seed. I focus a lot on soil evolution in gardening through composting and habitat piles and small stone structures just big enough for little critters and bird houses. Birds are so important because they eat seeds and bugs, the control bug populations and spread seeds to make food more abundant :)
