I'm not sure the original version of this hits for me, but something about adding Lacey here made this absolutely work for me! It feels a lot more like a story being told, and I could really feel the emotions of the song here. Absolutely love the whole of "Spirits", but I'm now looking at this song in a new light.

Everything about this song and video makes me wanna cry... his teary eyes, their genuine smiles when the see each other...the little girl who wants her parents back together (I'm assuming that's who she is)... people really should fight for their marriages, especially if they have children. Everyone focuses on the problems and issues but if they could think back to when they were in love and why they chose each other to begin with and especially invite Jesus into the middle of it maybe they could find that joy again, buried underneath. Love is worth fighting for. (Not saying that people should stay in abusive relationships or if someone keeps cheating). This duet was perfect for Lacey, guitar riffs are sick, remind me of Flyleaf... such a beautiful song and idea for a video, as well as the one for the original video ❤ 🤘🏻 we need more songs like this that speak hope and life into such a dark world
