We must demand an Epic Collection that collects all issues of Epic Illustrated and completes all of the unfinished story lines.

For me the announcement of upcoming Epic Collections was a disappointment. I only collect up until the early 1990s and there is only a few for me to buy. There are still so many older series that have not even been started yet. Recently I have been buying Omnibus books and Masterworks of series that have not been started yet in Epic Collections. Even though I don't like hardcovers, at least I will have the stories to enjoy. Also buying all the Atlas collections and the Lost Marvel series from Fantagraphics that contain stories that Marvel does not want to release themselves.

Conan was also cut off in the middle so another case for keeping the Rom and Micronaut omnibus.

Thanks for the heads up on these! I made my short list. I agree that Epics are so much easier to read. Omnis I have to sit at my desk, though I appreciate the larger art and letters pages, original art etc. Don't forget Kirby's 1960's run on Cap! Those were classics, and I love his funky Seventies run too (have it all in an omnibus). I have the opposite fear from you: I'll buy Epics and then they announce an omnibus, like classic Daredevil or FF. Makes me want to hold off since each omni contains about two Epics' worth of content.

I love the Epic Collection, I try to collect most of Captain America and they're always sold with a decent price. The most inconvenient thing are that yah they release them out of order and sometimes new reprints of Epic Collections I missed can take a while to get made.

I would call the Ultimate universe a lot of things, but definitely not epic. Or good for that matter.
