Hi Kurtis! I'd say Marvel's complete/epic collection sized books are my favourite way of reading comics-- I can really sink my teeth into them and they're easier to hold than something like an omni. As someone who grew up on 2000s/2010s Marvel, I'm so excited by the future of the Modern Era Epic line. It'll be a great chance for me to get round to reading some runs where the complete/ultimate collections are out of print!

I already own the Young Avengers complete collections, but I might just upgrade to a modern era epics when they come out eventually. Really excited to see what they're gonna be doing with the Star Wars modern era epics as well!

Still hoping we get Runaways in Modern Epics, I think that title would fit the format perfectly. I'd also like to see Silk in Epic, the G. Willow Wilson and Saladin Ahmed Ms. Marvel comics, as well as, whilst it would only be a single volume, Cullen Bunn's Fearless Defenders (I could be wrong but I think that has only ever been collected in skinny trades).

Thanks for the video Kurtis, it is always nice to watch your content. I will be upgrading my thin tpbs for Daredevil and Captain America. I will pick up Thor, but I don't know about Spider-Girl because I already own the four Conplete Collections and since the mapping is identical, the only reason I would want to upgrade would be to support the title or for the extras. So I might wait for volume 5 to come out for Spider-Girl...

I'm hoping for an Uncanny Avengers modern epic (both Remender and Duggan runs). Also Gwenpool and X-Men Legacy would be cool.

The problem with the “modern era” branding is that it dates the book. Some of these modern runs are almost 20 years old now, so how exactly does that track with someone buying them now, or say 10 years from now and expecting a more contemporary style? A collected editions department needs to be foreword thinking in this regard and endeavour to make their branding and trade dress timeless.

They should have just stuck with the standard epic branding, or instead enforced a definitive endpoint for the epic era and committed to the complete collections post cut-off.

Nice Modern Epic update! I am looking fwd to Modern Thor Volume 1, but ESPECIALLY Spider-Girl volumes 5 and up!! And I hope to see Modern Iron Man volumes 1 and 2 as well as Modern Daredevil volume 1 to ensure we have a complete set going forward.

I only have the Spider Gwen Modern Epic collection, and don't like it or the direction Marvel has went in the the past few decades. I am just buying the Epic Collections from the 1960s -1993. That is the Marvel Universe I grew up with, and there is more than enough classic stories to last my lifetime.
