Discover Trinidad and Tobago In Two Minutes!
Показать описание
Welcome to the land of the hummingbird, home of steelpan and the greatest show on earth; Trinidad Carnival! We are thrilled to be able to share our country with you even though its in the space of only two minutes! Here is a breakdown of everything to expect as a visitor in the islands of Trinidad and Tobago.
Location Log:
Food - T&T is a melting pot of different cultures and it shows in the variety of food options we have from Creole, East Indian, Chinese and even Arabian. First things first though! You have to try a doubles, a roti and a bake and shark. The Holy Trinity of Trinbago cuisine.
Culture - It's easy to blend in as a Trini as our nation is so culturally diverse. Our biggest cultural festivity is Carnival without a doubt so If you are here between January and March then you are in for the time of your life!
Nightlife - "Yuh ain fete till yuh fete with a Trini" Translation? You haven't partied till you party with a Trini! We love a good lime and any excuse to grab a beer in the afternoon is fine by us. If you're in Port of Spain, then head down to Ariapita Avenue where you have a plethora of club, bar and food options to choose from. (To lime - to hang out)
Transport - If you're staying in Port of Spain for just a few days then you can walk alot of it if you're the adventurer budget type. But so much of Trinidad exists outside of the city. If you're here for a while I suggest renting a car to get out and explore all that we have to offer. Our public transportation system is a bit intimidating at first but if you just ask a local for directions they would surely point you in the right direction.
Budget - Ah yes! The dreaded "b" word that can make or break any travel plan. Trinidad is not primarily a tourism island so you can easily avoid the high tourist prices that some of our Caribbean neighbours have. Food and accommodation is very affordable and some might even say cheap but never lacking in quality.
Our nation is so small it can fit in the size of other large cities but our Caribbean warmth and hospitality is bigger than any of them. We welcome everyone with open arms and hope to see you here exploring our island with us!
