Man i didnt think id have an upload this soon into 2023 but hey what can I say.

Alrighttyyyy these guys are from my buddy @razmerry ‘s journal styled webcomic Pinepaw and the Forgotten World! It’s a neat take on the warriors universe, capturing some nitty gritty stuff (including HORROR woooo) that you don’t see too often! Even if you aren’t too into warriors I recommend checking it out, it’s pretty great so far! I’ll leave a link to it somewhere in the desc :)
Anywho! This is just following some events surrounding Pinepaw, one of the main characters. I kind of tried to show like,, the different things he is dealing with rn, I feel like he is definitely going to break at some point and I am here for it.
Because of issue 12 I really wanted to make something inspired by those "lost tapes" warrior cat horror videos going around a whiiiile back, because that whole issue was just,,, of the rails. I ended up finding this song and although I couldn't play with the horror as much as I wanted to, I still had a lot of fun trying to at least get that "lost tape" look down.
I tried to keep the video simple, only giving myself two distinct layers to tween, and honestly I would have finished this a few days sooner if it wasn't for the fact that I was procrastinating the backgrounds. That's literally it I HATE backgrounds in animations man. They're a pain.

This is incredible! I recognized the characters but didn't know the comic had started, so I'm gonna check that out!

Edit: I've returned from catching up on all the issues, and you captured the eerie, unsettling atmosphere really well!

Woo this is incredible!! The symbolism of each entry of Pinepaw's journal is so recognizable!!! So glad the new comic is gaining attention.

I like using this PMV to try and tempt people into reading the comic because it's really good at communicating the comic's general vibe and shows a few points of the story but not enough to actually figure out what's going on, so if you know nothing about the comic it doesn't really spoil anything but gives you a taste and leaves you with a lot of questions. Very good PMV
