That 1st mom needs to be STOPPED. If my mom behaved that way to my friends, she'd be kicked right out

Woahhh first mom is WILD 😭 that bride’s bridesmaids are angels for dealing with that

I remember the full vid for the first bride: the mother just never frikking grew up. She thinks she's being youthful while being blind to how crass she comes off.

I had an visceral reaction at 4:15 when the mom body shamed the girls like that. The mom reminds me of my grandmother with the way she casually throws unnecessary insults in conversation. That mom is lucky the bridesmaids have class and didn't fire back, they'd have plenty of ammo.

I had a good friend get married who was 30 and the groom was 40. He was the last of his friends to get married. He stood up in 19 weddings and he wanted to have all 19 guys as groomsmen. 19! So she had 19 bridesmaids. It was an evening wedding in a cathedral with a reception at a very nice venue. All bridesmaids wore black cocktail dresses of their choosing. She wanted them to be able to wear their dresses for other parties. Plus, can you imagine getting 19 matching dresses? It was gorgeous!

I love the mismatched dress look - as long as the dresses are cohesive, it looks great and everyone gets to wear something that they actually like and might actually re-wear.

I’ve seen a couple of weddings where the color and material were the same, but the dresses were each different and it looked really nice.

The mom in the first fat shaming these women is disgusting. I know they're encouraged to be dramatic for entertainment purposes, but nothing about that was entertaining. I would be embarrassed if that was my mom. I would call her out immediately and threaten to have her kicked out

I feel bad for the bridesmaids because the bride doesn't have control about what her mom says, but I'd also be upset if I'm getting bodyshamed and my friend is not saying anything

In Nigeria the second bride is how we handle bridesmaids dresses (sort of). The bride gives her bridal party fabric or a colour that is of the pattern and texture that she likes and the brides give them to tailors to make whatever design they want for the wedding.
Groom does a similar thing, usually the bride & groom wear specific colours that are different to each other.

You know what I love about you? When it comes to professional fashion designers, you do not hesitate to tear a bitch up because you hold them to the high standards that they claim to be selling... but when it comes to these normal, everyday women choosing wedding garb, you are so kind and supportive. A lot of fashion influencers cannot make that distinction; they think that holding everyone to THE HIGHEST of standards is what makes them a fashion expert. You're one of the few that recognizes the difference between high fashion and everyday needs, and you adjust your criticisms accordingly. You're just a very classy person, and I love you for it ❤

"Her pancreas has deflated" made me actually laugh out loud.

Ruffles are definitely a southern thing. They had a big moment in sorority girl weddings for a while.

I find its much harder to judge the bridesmaid dresses because most of the time they're getting them ordered in for the proper color. We had a similar idea to the last group for my brother's wedding, and while it looked really weird seeing 6 women with 6 different colored dresses in store, getting them all together in one color and seeing all of us together made everything look SO MUCH BETTER.

Is there any chance you could do a bookshelf tour? I really would love to know where you got some of those gorgeous fashion books!

i am indian and at indian weddings EVERYONE (including babies) dresses their best and it still doesn't take attention away from the bride because she's the bride, everyone knows that, they are at her celebration. Here it's almost considered rude if you don't put in your best effort to dress like you didn't care. so if it's a colleague's wedding i'd wear something less showy (cuz i'm not that close with her) but if it's my sister's wedding then i am all in!

The first mom seems to use tears for sympathy. Like I can’t believe her actually crying like that after talking about her daughter’s friends like that.

The best way to do different bridesmaid dresses is give 2 or more specifics. For my wedding it was a specific color and material. For my sister in laws wedding is was a color scheme and no beading or other crazy embellishments with some type of flowy fabric. It turned out super pretty both times. Everyone picked there favorites and it all worked out. Just saying Yolo isn't gonna help lol

You think people are insane for getting married at 21 and then you turn 21 and suddenly everyone around you is engaged. I’ve had whiplash for like a year
