Describing Graphs: Monotonicity and Concavity

In calculus, we spend a lot of time trying to determine where a function is increasing, decreasing, concave up and concave down. This video presents a possible formal definition for each of these ideas that can prepare us for those applications of calculus. The goal of the video is that viewers will have a very visual perspective of what these properties mean before they try to deal with the particular strategies of calculus.
