Windows 7 pro 64 bit, drive C died with only Windows on it plus that 8 GB fix program, you don't get a Windows disk when buying a new computer. So how do you install a new drive? It has to be partitioned, formatted, and have Windows loaded on it. If you use disk management on another computer, it will not let you name that drive "c". so even though you can put your back up on it, the computer that drive goes into will not recognize it.

Just about any search I have done on the issue, showing a computer that already is running windows. Use to be able to do all this with a floppy disk, but seems Microsoft has you spinning your wheels and going nowhere.

That's nice, but what if I have only two partitions and I want to delete the page file in the partition. Do I have to move it to the other partition? Knowing fully well it's my boot partition
