As a Bassist and Synthesist I Love both - though to get detailed, Synths can be programmed to make endless different sounds, also bass can be run through many effects. The fingerstyle near the bridge gives a lot of punchy attack, a similar attack and punch can be programmed on synths, each synth is different as is each Bass etc Bass guitar and synth yes both groove!

I dig the freedom of synth bass but there's something about that analog bottom end holding up the rhythm that hits the ears so much differently. U can feel it.

I myself have a novation bass station also. Fun little synth, but nothing can replace real bass playing which comes from the fingers and the groove 👍 You are a talented musician 💯

Really hard to pick one. They both are great for different things. Synth bass is better for pop, EDM, and hip hop, bass guitar is better for rock and blues, both are equally good for funk or disco.
