It had everything: action, glamour, fashion, music, sex symbols, cool one liners, cars and a vibe which made you want to imagine your neighbourhood was downtown Miami for at least a few hours.
I've heard of guys going to the fish and chip shop dressed as Sonny Crockett.
A decade where you could forget your socks and people smiled in knowing admiration as you sauntered by.
Nothing that good could ever last, but when they made the movie it really should have been Johnson and Thomas, Farrell and Foxx couldn't carry it off.
We can only hope that Michael Mann rectifies this by writing a worthy sequel.

This music is from the episode with Bruce Willis. He was just starting out in the movies. Great episode! The song is perfect for the whole theme of this episode. Michael Mann is a underrated producer!! If you grew up in the 80s you know how good he is!!

I think when it comes to Miami Vice and the music that was incorporated into the show has a lot to do with the way the type of song that would be chosen to kind of go along with the scene and it just matched so perfectly in the music at the time was just exceptional and it just went with the drama so well that it really made an impact that is still felt to this very day 30 years later people still talking about it enough said
