We need folk songs today, and when I listen to the Seekers, it reminds me of the need for this kind of music now.

The most fascinating song I had ever heard "Pierrot&Columbine"(such wonder to my youthful imagination)

I believe it references a tragic "for Pierrot and and Harlequin are two of the three characters involved in a love triangle in traditional commedia dell'Arte, popular in the 16th through the 18th centuries. In most versions of the story, Pierrot is the lovestruck naive partner of Columbine (the third character in this triangle). Harlequin is also in love with Columbine, and usually the two of them end up deceiving Pierrot.

Si guardi il paroliere, please: Me! Da questa metrica nacque "Il sabato è finito", di Laura Carlini, Ri-Fi Record, Milano, 1964, Tonino Ansoldi. Acqua passata! Ma che macina ancora!
