I think a lot of people completely underestimate how long it takes to build muscle naturally, especially without looking like a bodybuilder. This is why I only go 3 to 4 days a week and have my workouts at a very steady pace, but as long as nutrition and sleep is on point then you're golden.

Finally something i can agree with. You must be able to allow your body to rest and sleep to allow you to max out on your fitness, physical health, and muscle growth. Thats why people train in patterms, train a day, break a day, train a day, etc.

Yup, the rest is just at important as the exercise itself because when you work hard and take the days off, those are the growth days.

Another thing to do if you’re not mentally healthy is go outside. Un ironically, it is one of the best things to do when feeling down or depressed. Just going for a simple run on a bike path or visiting some hiking trails, it helps a lot.

Stress one is real. I've had the hardest time building muscle because I've had bad anxiety and depression for the longest time now. I meditate and exercise. Although recently I just fuck it and went to pure powerlifting (2 months ago) and that's going a lot better for me. I'm actually seeing lots of progress there.

I only sleep 6 hours because I can’t sleep more. I’m physically active on a regular basis and can’t push myself to sleep more.

I think the best thing to build lean muscle, at least for me, is to bulk and eat relatively lenient, and do cardio. For me, this has allowed me to consume more protein and more calories without sacrificing cardiovascular health.

Through all my ups and down with my body building journey, rest has always been an afterthought. Gonna start prioritizing 8 hours of sleep now.

You lost me at 48-72 hours to recover. Sometimes less - sometimes more. Blank statements don’t account that a majority of people are over 20% bodyfat and don’t work anywhere near to failure.

Then there’s me. sleeps 3-5hrs a night, trains his ass off 2hrs in the gym then has 2 PE classes in school, Getting 15k steps in, high metabolism cuz I’m 16, burning 4000 calories a day, struggling to bulk cuz i don’t like to eat
