Hello, Mike. Thank you for these videos. For questions about essential/non-essential supplements, how should I realize that the convention being tested is punctuation between a supplementary phrase and a main clause and not basic punctuation between a dependent and an independent clause?

The same problem with distinguishing between subject-verb agreement and verb tenses. When a subject-verb agreement question has the verb "to be” in singular and plural options, the past tense of 'are' is 'were' so I keep thinking it's a verb tense question. However, it turned out to be a subject-verb question.

Please in Khan academy they said some subordinating conjunction can 2 independent sentences without a comma like this one : I went to the store because I ran out of peanut butter.

Please is that rule correct i thought independent will always be separated from dependent
