Normal Mode Equations, Helicopter Dynamics Lecture 13

This video explains how the response of a dynamic system can be expressed in terms of normal modes. This allows us to reduce a high dimensional structural dynamic system to a low dimensional set of single degree of freedom systems. A few natural modes are enough to model the vibration of structures such as aircraft wings, helicopter rotor blades, bridges etc.
