I made a payment to a cab driver, but it is stuck in processing, and the amount has already been deducted from my account. We're now in a situation where we had to pay the driver in cash because the payment hasn't been processed, resulting in losing money twice.

What would be the best resolution to ensure the payment gateway completes the process quickly? Given that transactions should follow the ACID principles, why is this happening? Do you have any suggestions to address this issue?
