"I don't know what my character is anymore" quite relatable. From a Wrath to Outlander, from Outlander to Commander, get asked whether to refer to you as "Lord Wrath" or "Commander", you say "Lord Wrath", you get referred to as "Commander". Idk.

The longer they drag out commenting on the modernization thread. The longer they give me to dwell on the fact that maybe my time with SWTOR has passed. I haven't logged in since the update and have been playing a lot of other games instead. Please keep that radio silence and set me free. All my normal holiday CC spending went to other games and I have no regrets. :D

Like you said earlier, they could easily address it somewhat by adding a toggle for the original character textures.

That is good of them to say something. At this point, the room needs to be huge with all the elephants in it. I am huge fan of Star Wars and SWTOR is the only one of its kind, I really hope that things can turn around.

I'm sure that if the devs dedicate to push out patches to fix broken stuff and only to fix stuff (no new items, zones, missions, etc.) this game could be a great contender in the MMO market. Until then...

they need to put more GSF stuff out, huge fleet battles would be awesome especially if they could include guild flagships in the mix of it, operation style, pve stuff.

Hmm, I’m curious about this bad luck thing... I haven’t done a lot of the ops yet (I know, what’s wrong with me? 😂 I just can’t find a guild I vibe with 😅). Might give them a go this year though... gotta get me some loot! 💎

How about fixing dynamic encounters or whatever it's called. I have done 30 at least and got 1 bracer is it. Is there certain ones to do for a better chance at a gear drop ?

Personally, I like the graphics updates. Such things are subjective, of course.

One thing that kind of amuses me is how people that don't like the changes in the game want to spin the narrative that they're (the Devs) are driving the game off the cliff, that it's circling the drain, the end is near, etc.

Well, this is a very old game (about 14 years old, presently). Not a whole lot of subscription games last this long, and yes- we can be sure that this game won't last forever. However, SWOTOR is still (as of January 2025) ranked #23 out of 144 tracked MMO's on MMO Nation. It has over 13 million subscribers, with about 80k players logging on daily. The game was produced at the whopping cost of a couple of hundred million dollars, but has also produced over a billion dollars worth of profit over it's lifetime. Not a bad return, I think. Overall, I think it's fair to say that the game is still pretty healthy in terms of player base and is a successful game, however any of us as individuals might feel about the quality of the game itself.

There aren't a lot of games that give me the value that this game gives me, for the low, low price of free. And price-wise, for shucking out a bit more than 10 dollars a month, I get even more value. Not too shabby, IMO. It has elements that I don't care for and I do agree with Boomy and others about some of the things that could use improvement and/or make for a more fun game. But I also don't lend much credence to the idea that Broadsword is just putting the game into maintenance mode and that it's soon going to go extinct. If you want a game to RP in the Star Wars universe with your buddies, this is were you go (and there are a lot of SW fans that want to RP, friends). Until someone else gets the rights to the IP and makes a competing game of this kind, I'm confident that will remain the case.

Just one guys opinion, and I could (of course) be proven wrong.

I hate this “ bad luck protection stuff” it’s just a fucking participation trophy and with everyone who actually grinned to get these schematics are just getting a “ hey fuck you we are giving it to everyone now” then when ppl say they love it they are gonna move to rare drops From nim raids instead of just increasing the drop rate by this they do something stupid like this

The two questions they answered are also the minimum. There are more questions but I think they don't like to answer them, even about the bad luck protection itself. And btw I hate that name. I find the whole "protection" thing so condescending and patronizing.
