Dan is truly full of wisdom and has the most sweet soul. He lights up talking about his dahlias and the love and connection he has for these flowers. It’s all hard work even if you have all the machinery. Just like any other farmer family, he’s loosing his helpers due to aging out! Hopefully his farm life will continue & there will be someone to take it over someday!

Wow, this was just the greatest tour ever and is he knowledgeable beyond belief. I would have loved to have known how many tubers he actually loses from diseases and how he keeps that under control, But thank you for the tour and meeting one of the special people out there growing dahlias.

Thank you for sharing your love of dahlias. I live close to Oakville and never knew Dan's dahlias were there. I have a dahlia in my garden, I never dig it up and I suppose it loves its space there. I transplant it with absolutely no knowledge of doing so. I can see why you love them.

What a beautiful way to start my day watching this video!! It always amazes me how healthy the foliage is on the plants. No powdery mildew no spider mites damage its such a battle here my poor plants are half stripped of their leaves this year.
