Been using it for this purpose for about 10/12 years now. As well as falling into the traps that waste time.
It's definitely lead me to profound growth. But the traps have also, like you said - wasted a lot of time.
And like you said - cross reference things and question them because a lot of stuff is either off/wrong/missing information.
