I’ve made similar things with a yellow cake mix… streusel (butter, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, flour and vanilla) and a jar of frosting… I usually just make a cake. Truly, it doesn’t need frosting and sometimes I add chopped apples or blueberries… $6 seems a little pricy

For the streusel being the best part it doesn't look like it you get a lot of covering. My bakery sells these big bars that are mostly streusel with just a little better at the bottom to hold them together . They tastes like a muffin top and are awesome !

I'm glad you guys enjoyed the kit, but as a New Jerseyan I would need a looot more of that crumb topping. Like it needs to take up at LEAST 1/3 of the muffin... 😂
When I make my crumb cakes, sometimes I have to double the amount of topping to satiate that need. And it's not complete without a thick layer of powdered sugar! 😋 It's just the way of the land here, lol. (And typically I don't go for uber-sweet things!)
