Even his voice when he’s not singing is literally beautiful

“Maybe, subconsciously, I don’t know” Says it all

Why romanticize and glamorize the dangers you are warning about? That sounds like a contradiction

His face says it all, something feels...off.

He’s talking like this because he can’t say what he really wants to

The Weekend is right. The show is a lesson for younger artists... a lesson in not making pure, unadulterated garbage.

So why not write a show about the experiences of a young male pop stars experiences? Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Drake, Harry Styles are all male pop stars the Weeknd and Sam Levinson could have drawn on....along with their own experiences. This was an exhibition in gratification masked as art.

So sick of women's experiences being told and depicted through male lenses. It's unrealistic, harmful and sometimes even creepy.

Nah this show is just straight up, Abel and Sam Levinson using “story telling” as a way to explore their own fetishes… I would’ve loved to see the original version instead of this

Bruh is he trying to end his own career? He’s a genius when it comes to music, but this show was just creepy and the acting was horrible.

there’s a difference in romanticizing and glamorizing something and putting it out there to show it actually is more common in the industry than you’d be lead on to believe

He’s talking but not saying anything lol

He’s so brilliant with his music. It seems he could do no wrong at one time. Even the most gifted artists make mistakes. Like every mistake you can just pretend it never happened. The idol never happened and move on.

Now I know why he doesn’t do interviews

The idol is actually a lesson on how not to do a tv show

Why couldn’t he have just made a full concert / tour movie or documentary?? Honestly that would of been so much better!!

He should stick to singing only. Acting isn't for everyone

The Idol was basically how Hollywood works

You can tell Abel is choosing his words carefully. I have a feeling Doja Cat May be an artist he is talking about.

“inspired by my experiences” but when asked later in the interview if he had ever met anyone in the industry that reminded him of Tedros he laughed and said ‘thankfully not’ MAYBE BC HE RLY IS TEDROS. like the weird way this show is life imitating art bc also ‘i get to do what i love and work w the ppl i love’ and Lily and Sam calling each other family in the interview ….. is now all just too eerily similar to the dinnertable scene for me. sadly it may take years for Lily to see what actually happened to her, i think she is just saying what she knows she is supposed to say. i hope everyone involved can recover and move on from this nightmare of a project.
