In this month’s Grow Guide, I focus on vegetable crops & plants that can be started from seed or planted during the month of September. I'll cover important garden tasks like amending soil, techniques for sowing seeds, & how to choose the correct cultivars for your garden. I also discuss fall garden planting since I start sowing seeds from July thru September for my fall harvest.

If you’re looking to start some plants from seed or plant some vegetables in your garden this month, be sure to check out my Grow Guide! I hope you find this guide helpful as you garden in September!

Follow me on social media for daily gardening, backyard chicken, & beekeeping inspiration, & information on the same varieties of seeds & plants available in my shop.

Very informative, I really appreciate that you have taken time to add in extra info for those of us in zones 10, it is somewhat different for us. I am going to be rewatching this because it was a lot to absorb. I also have grown Tropical Milkweed before, it isn't that it's an ongoing food source in winter months, it's that because it doesn't die back that it can perpetuate OE disease which Monarchs can pass to each other from the plants. The plants can be cut back to prevent that though. I haven't found a source for live plants yet, such as Swamp milkweed etc. just seeds so far. Hoping to though. That would probably be a big seller, so many people want our native milkweed as live plants but can't find it. 🤔

Do you see any problem with planting a row of bush beans at the base of my row of pole beans? If not, how far from the base of the pole beans should I plant them?

What kind of Mango trees do you have? I really love the Kent but find its too cold to survice here. I am one hour north of Orlando
